Learn how one of Virginia's top floral designers uses art as inspiration for beautiful flower arrangements with this hands-on workshop!
David Pippin, a sought-after floral designer from Richmond, will lead you through how to create your very own arrangement to take home. David's name is well-known in Virginia's horticultural world. A popular consultant on garden design, a provider of garden-themed hands-on programs for children, and an educator with a wide range of horticultural knowledge and experience, David is a "man for all seasons."
This interactive workshop will draw inspiration from artwork on view in the Taubman Museum of Art collection. All floral materials will be provided; simply bring your own floral clippers and a vase or vessel for your arrangement. Garden gloves and aprons are optional.
This hands-on workshop is $80 per person and includes admission on that date to the exhibition Art Go Bloom, featuring 20 fresh, live floral arrangements paired alongside the artworks that inspired them from the Taubman Museum's galleries. It also includes admission to the special ticketed exhibition, "American Impressionism in the Garden." Tickets are available at www.taubmanmuseum.org/art-go-bloom or at the Museum's Visitor Services Desk.
