History is Served benefits the operations, exhibits, and education of the Historical Society of Western Virginia, which runs both the History Museum of Western Virginia and the O. Winston Link Museum. This year, History is Served will take place at Hotel Roanoke on October 12, 2022, from 5:30pm. There will be both live and silent auctions, dinner, and a talk from fine arts and antiques dealer Sumpter Priddy III, from Ashland, Virginia. He is the author of American Fancy: Exuberance in the Arts, 1780-1840, and his lecture is titled 'Eagles and Angles: Patriotism, Religion and 'Common Sense' in the Material Culture of the Early South.' It will feature works of early southern decorative arts.

Tickets are $100 per person, and sponsor tables for 10, which include valet parking for everyone at the table, are $1250.

Silent auction will start at 5:30pm, with dinner at 7pm, speaker at 8pm.
