Downtown Roanoke, Inc. and McDonalds are partnering to provide the biggest and best St. Patrick's Day Parade in the region! Featuring all the fun of last year, 2014 is sure to be a hit for families all over the Roanoke Valley!

McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade (11am) and Shamrock Festival (11am-8pm)

The McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade and Shamrock Festival happens this year on Saturday, March 15th in Downtown Roanoke. The McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade will run from Jefferson Street to Campbell Avenue and Campbell Avenue to Williamson Road.

McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade (Begins at 11am)

The McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade and Shamrock Festival happens this year on Saturday, March 14th in Downtown Roanoke. The McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade will run from Jefferson Street to Campbell Avenue and Campbell Avenue to Williamson Road.

Shamrock Festival (From 12pm to 8pm)

This year's Shamrock Festival will feature music from local and regional talent and is located at Wells Fargo's Plaza, at the corner of Market Street and Salem Avenue.

McDonald's Children's Area (From 12pm to 5pm)

The McDonald's Children's Area will include face-painting, games, inflatables, and more, all located in front of the Taubman Museum of Art along Salem Avenue, and in the all-new Market Square!

Corned Beef & Co.'s Celtic Celebration

Located in front of Corned Beef & Co., there will be live Celtic music from 1pm to 5pm featuring your Second Wynde and special guests throughout the day. For the full schedule, click here.

Shamrock Hill 5K and 10K Run

The Shamrock Hill 5K & 10K Run and one mile walk is an annual event going into its 25th year. The walk starts at 8:30am with the race starting at approximately 9:15am. This annual event is the first regional run of the year and it is held in conjunction with the McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade and Shamrock Festival in Downtown Roanoke. The run(s) and walk will start and finish near at the corner of North Jefferson St and Gilmer Ave near Roanoke Catholic High School. Sign up to participate here.

Lunasa at the Jefferson Center

Lunasa, a traditional Irish instrumental outfit, will help kick off the St. Patrick's Day weekend with a performance at the Jefferson Center. The show begins at 8pm, and tickets are available through the Jefferson Center's website. For more information on the show and tickets, click here!
