Join us for Movies in the Park presented by Jefferson College of Health Sciences and Member One Federal Credit Union! FREE outdoor, family-oriented movies will show the second Friday of each month, May - October, in Elmwood Park, downtown Roanoke. Featuring a giant 15' x 20' screen and surround sound. Seating begins at 6 p.m., movie begins at dark. Parking is free, too, in the Elmwood Park Garage! May 14th - "The Princess and the Frog" (G)

A fairy tale set in Jazz Age-era New Orleans and centered on a young girl named Tiana and her fateful kiss with a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again.

June 11th - "Love Happens" (PG-13)

About a widower whose book about coping with loss turns him into a best-selling self-help guru. On a business trip to Seattle, he falls for a woman who attends one of his seminars, only to learn that he hasn't yet truly confronted his wife's passing.

July 9 - "Star Trek" (PG-13)

A chronicle of the early days of James T. Kirk and his fellow USS Enterprise crew members.

 

August 13 - "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" (PG)

The most delicious event since macaroni met cheese. Inspired by the beloved children's book, the film focuses on a town where food falls from the sky like rain.

September 10 - "The Blind Side" (PG-13)

The story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick with the help of a caring woman and her family.

October 8 - "New Moon; Twilight Saga" (PG-13)

When Edward leaves Bella, her whole world is turned upside down. With Bella's heart broken, she turns to Jacob (Jake) her best friend to fill the void that was left by Edward.
