On the second Friday of every month, May through October, Elmwood Park will feature a new movie – FREE. That’s right, FREE. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a movie under the stars.

May 9th - "National Treasure" (PG)

Benjamin Franklin Gates descends from a family of treasure-seekers who've all hunted for the same thing: a war chest hidden by the Founding Fathers after the Revolutionary War. Ben's close to discovering its whereabouts, as is his competition, but the FBI is also hip to the hunt.

June 13th - "Surf’s Up" (PG)

Come join Cody (Shia LaBeouf), a Rockhopper penguin, as he journeys from his home in Shiverpool, Antarctica to take part in the Big Z Memorial Surf Off. During his adventure he meets some new friends including surf nut Chicken Joe (Jon Heder) and the spirited lifeguard Lani (Zooey Deschanel). Cody believes that winning is everything until he meets The Geek (Jeff Bridges), an old, washed-up pro-surfer, who may just show Cody that a true winner isn't always the one who comes in first.

July 11th - "Hitch" (PG-13)

Most men have difficulty finding love because it's hard to be yourself when your "self" thinks you should be someone else. That's where Alex "Hitch" Hitchens (Will Smith) comes in . As a tactical adviser who specializes in first impressions -- he customizes and orchestrates a client's first three dates -- Hitch has been secretly responsible for hundreds of New York City weddings.

After a chance meeting with Hitch, Sara (Eva Mendes), a gossip reporter for a daily tabloid, finds her professional life and personal life on a collision course. She makes Hitch re-evaluate his game and teaches him that love is not a feeling, it's an action.

August 8 - "Bee Movie" (PG)

Take a closer look at their world through the eyes of one bee in particular -- Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld). A recent college graduate, Barry wants more out of life than the inevitable career that awaits him and every other worker in New Hive City -- a job at Honex... making honey. Barry jumps at the chance to venture out of the hive, and soon encounters a world beyond his wildest dreams. When Barry inadvertently meets a quirky florist named Vanessa (Renée Zellweger), he breaks one of the cardinal rules of beedom -- he talks to her. A friendship soon develops, and Barry gets a guided crash course in the ways of the human race. When he shockingly discovers that anyone can purchase honey right off the grocery store shelf, he realizes that his true calling is to stop this injustice and set the world right by suing the human race for stealing the bees' precious honey.

September 12 - "Footloose" (PG)

A city kid attempts to adapt to life in an ultra-conservative backwater Midwestern town. Once there he ends up leading the repressed teenagers into a rebellion against the town fathers who have outlawed rock & roll and dancing.

October 10 - "Ghostbusters" (PG)

A trio of university parasychologists lose their research grant and decide to open their own business, "Ghostbusters," and almost at once are summoned to investigate the strange happenings in a Central Park West apartment. What they discover is that all Manhattan is being besieged by other worldly demons.
