Downtown Roanoke, Inc. Board of Directors Appoint
Stephen Musselwhite Interim President
Roanoke, Va. – The Board of Directors for Downtown Roanoke, Inc. (DRI) has unanimously appointed Stephen Musselwhite to serve as interim President, following the recent resignation by acting President, Sean Luther. Musselwhite will take leave from his position as a member of the DRI board of directors during his duties, which will take effect October 3, to ensure a continuity of knowledge between leadership during this transition.
"The Board and I are very happy that Steve will be stepping into this temporary, but very important role,” said Curtis Mills, Jr., Chariman of DRI’s board of directors. “His dedication to DRI, his proven leadership skills, and his enthusiasm and love for Roanoke are exactly what we need during this transition."
Musselwhite served as Chair of the Board for DRI from 2011-2012 and during his tenure worked closely with DRI staff on a number of key initiatives including the expansion of the Downtown Service District. Musselwhite joined the DRI Board of Directors in 2004.
In addition to serving as interim President, Musslewhite will continue as the President of Musselwhite and Associates, Inc., and will be supported by Tina L. Workman, Vice President of Events and Operations.
