Creating Original Theater Workshop

This workshop will provide participants a sample of the process used by Performers Exchange Project (PEP) to create original theatrical performances. PEP’s working process proceeds from the belief that it is primarily the work of the actor (rather than the playwright or director) that creates a play. The working session will be divided into three parts: I – Creation of personal physical material; II – Creation of personal written/vocal material; and III – Combining of the physical and written/vocal material into performance material. By the session’s end, participants will have created a mini-performance to offer for public viewing.
