Starfish Prime is a young group of musicians based in Roanoke, Virginia. Started as friends playing music, they continued to grow until it was decided the line-up was solid, and they donned the name Starfish Prime, a reference to a nuclear missile test in the 1960's. While based in alternative rock, Starfish Prime blends the gritty sound of electric guitars with clean acoustics and funky bass grooves. They mix original songs with a range of covers from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Brittany Spears. They have built a steadily growing fan base at local open mics, and have already risen to the level of Kirk Avenue Music Hall, Roanoke's premier music venue.

Suite 325 is a group of five talented young musicians who came together under the auspices of the Roanoke Downtown Music Lab's first Rock Band class. Since their inception, they have already taken Roanoke and the surrounding areas by storm. Having performed at Down by Downtown, Down By The River, and numerous other festivals in Roanoke and Blacksburg, Suite 325 continues to surprise and impress audiences with their mature sound and rock/pop sensibility. They even released their first album within their first year of existence. There set includes a healthy dose of original music, and covers by Coldplay, U2, Kings of Leon, The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys and more. The band consists of Abby Cohen on vocals, Max Lee on bass, Lucas Kennedy and Chris Woods on guitar, and Levi Fulton on drums
