Lecture on "America's Greatest Colored Resort" with Professor Brian Katen

For Black History Month in February, Professor Brian Katen, chairman of the Landscape Architecture program at Virginia Tech, will tell of his research on African Americans' visits to Yellow Sulphur Springs, near Blacksburg, and other mountain resorts in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Katen found a 1926 advertisement for Yellow Sulphur, "America's Greatest Colored Resort." This lecture will be on Tuesday, February 28th at 4 pm.
