"Start spreading the news…Roanoke Main Library is the place to be on Thursday, December 15 at 6pm for the event "New York City…Live in Roanoke!" I’m Elena DeRosa, author of the eBook, Fractured Façade. Bridging the tale’s settings of Roanoke and New York, I’ll be sharing my journey, and the stage, with other independent artists. Join us for rocking live music, unique art, pizza, egg creams and a chance to win an eReader.
In the spirit of the holiday season, please bring a new toy and a non-perishable food item for donating to those in need. Fuhgeddaboudit!"
-- Elena DeRosa

The author won’t be signing any books, but through vignettes, will share her journey, and the stage. Rather than read a chapter or two from her book, the author endeavors to create a bridge between the tale’s settings of Roanoke, VA and Brooklyn, NY, through the talents of independent artists.

Inspired by a New York City theme, musicians will perform live and visual artists’ exhibit their work.

A big part of the inspiration for this event came from a recent blog post titled:
