Downtown Roanoke gift cards make it easier than ever to ensure people spend their money at local shops. By purchasing these gift cards, you can directly support a vibrant community of restaurants, retailers, and attractions that make downtown Roanoke unique.
As of August 29, 2025, the Downtown Roanoke Gift Card is going digital!
New Digital Gift Cards
- Purchase anytime online through Yiftee
- Send instantly by email or text
- Redeem easily by scanning from your phone—no plastic card needed
- Available in amounts from $5 to $500
- Please note, gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
- After 12 months of inactivity, the balance will be deducted $3.00/month

Legacy (Plastic) Gift Cards
- Some businesses still accept the original plastic gift card (EML).
- All plastic cards will remain valid at participating businesses until August 31, 2026.
- After that date, any unused balance will need to be handled directly through DRI.

- Additional Information:
- Gift Cards may be purchased in any amount (not to exceed $500). Multiple gift cards may be purchased at one time.
- Gift Cards may be purchased with Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
- We regret that we are unable to replace lost or stolen cards.
- Please note, gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
- After 12 months of inactivity, the balance will be deducted $2.50/month
- This Card is issued by MetaBank®, Member FDIC.
DRI is no longer selling plastic EML gift cards.
Please note: Because digital and plastic cards are managed by different vendors, not all businesses can accept both types. Be sure to check the correct list before visiting downtown.
