Celebrate the holiday season with the inaugural Deck the Doors—a festive community event benefiting the Roanoke History and O. Winston Link Museums.

From Black Friday (11/28/25) through New Year’s Day (1/1/26, the Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge Lobby (just across from the Hotel Roanoke) will feature doors creatively decorated by local businesses, artists, and nonprofits. Visitors can vote for their favorite door—with dollars! Every dollar donated supports the museum’s education and outreach programs.

In the early afternoon of Saturdays November 29, December 6, and December 14, enjoy the sounds of the acoustic guitar played by musician Martie Hoover.

While you’re here, step inside the museum to enjoy the vintage Fantasyland holiday decorations from Heironimus (regular museum admission applies).
