In Natural Shocks, a woman named Angela takes refuge in her basement as a tornado looms overhead. As she waits out the storm, she shares a fast-paced, humorous monologue about her life, relationships, and the small and large lies we tell ourselves.
As the play progresses, Angela’s seemingly scattered thoughts start to reveal a deeper, darker truth about her life and marriage. What begins as an amusing, high-energy storytelling session gradually becomes a chilling confession, culminating in a powerful, emotionally devastating twist.
