Details
Protect the photographs that matter most. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to properly care for and preserve your family images using professional archival techniques.
Guided by the Museum’s Curator, you will identify different photo types, recognize early signs of deterioration, and practice safe handling and storage methods used in museum collections. This is an active, skills-based session designed to give you practical experience, not just theory.
All participants will receive archival-quality supplies to use during the workshop and take home, including an archival clamshell O-ring storage box, 75 polypropylene sleeves for a range of photo sizes, and a Stabilo marking pencil.
You will leave with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to safeguard your photographs for years to come.
