The Roanoke Foundation for Downtown, Inc. (RFDI) serves as a charitable fundraising arm to support the vital work and mission of Downtown Roanoke, Inc. (DRI.) We collaborate with a wide range of organizations and cultivate partnerships to shape public policy and implement programs that strengthen the economic vitality of downtown. You might be surprised by the projects and programs that RFDI has helped foster. RFDI helped create a unique program that increased downtown safety and engaged the community.
RFDI worked to help preserve three iconic downtown buildings owned by Norfolk Southern.
Over the years, RFDI has continued to postively impact Downtown Roanoke by working on beautification initiatives, saving the H&C Coffee sign, and spearheading wayfinding projects.
