A New Slate has several stylists to choose from, and a few booth rental spaces open for stylists ready to take their services to the next level.

Embellish Hair Studio - 123 Kirk Ave SW

The salon's hair artists are highly trained with diversity in all aspects of hair and offer a full range of services including deva curl, cezanne, balayage, and bridal hair. If you're looking for a salon that specializes in curly hair and color trends, head to Embellish.

This woman-owned shop is open 7 days a week and specializes in men's grooming, offering services like fades, beard trims, straight razor shaves, facials, colors, new and later trends, and waxing. While Corporate Image does cater to men, the stylists are just as precise with the ladies' hair. 

In addition to providing an upbeat and professional atmosphere, the shop offers free haircuts to the unsheltered community once a year and veterans can get free haircuts on Veterans Day. 


Gentleman's Cut - 7 Franklin Rd SW

Men's fine grooming is taken seriously at Gentleman's Cut, which was established in 2019. Whether you need a simple beard trim or a full haircut, Laura and Sarah have you covered.

Jason Setchel opened True Craft Tattoo, Downtown's first tattoo shop, in 2015 in the historic district.
