Lighting Up Downtown Roanoke
Starting November 24th and going past Christmas
We’re lighting up Downtown Roanoke to create a fun, festive place that you can stroll through and enjoy on your own schedule during the 25 Days of Dickens.
Our festive downtown lighting kicks off on November 24th when we’ll turn on new lighting designs and elements along Market Street and continuing into Elmwood Park. We’ll also be hanging 50 stars on our Farmers Market stalls. All have been painted and decorated with a unique look by local artist Alicia Hollingsworth Young. Come find your favorite star.
Thanks to Northwest Ace Hardware many of our downtown businesses will also be decorating for the holidays with fun and festive window lighting.
Also happening November 24th, we’re lighting the City of Roanoke Christmas Tree live on WDBJ7 starting at 6:00pm. Tune in and count down with us!
*Please note that unlike in years past, in-person attendance of the tree lighting is not permitted this year.
