Freedom First St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Begins at 11am on Jefferson St. at Elm Ave., continues to Campbell Ave. and ends at Williamson Rd.

Shamrock Festival

12:00pm - 5:00pm - Live music, adult beverages, and more! Admission is FREE and begins at noon in Wells Fargo Plaza behind the City Market Building. Band lineup:

  • Empty Bottles 12:00pm - 1:00pm
  • The Dancing Chicken Band 1:30pm - 3:00pm
  • Gasoline Alley 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Freedom First Kids Zone

Admission is FREE! From 12pm to 5pm in two locations: In front of the Taubman Museum of Art on Salem Avenue and in Market Square along Market Street. GAMES, INFLATABLES, FACE PAINTING, & MORE!

 

Corned Beef & Co. Celtic Celebration - 10:00am - 5:00pm 

Celtic Stage will kick off at the conclusion of the parade and will go until 5:00pm. This year's Ceili King is Larry Landolt!

Second Wynde headlines the show with guest musicians. Schedule is as follows (all times are approximate, depending on the conclusion of the parade):

Shamrock Hill 5K & 1-Mile Race - 8:30am

Start your St. Patrick’s Day by running the Shamrock Hill 5K at Roanoke Catholic School!

With an 8:30am start, the race finishes in plenty of time to catch the Freedom First St. Patrick's Day Parade at 11:00am and Shamrock Festival at 12:00pm. Take advantage of the free and convenient parking at Roanoke Catholic.
