Join Downtown Roanoke, Inc. and 202 Social House for a FREE movie night under the stars!

We are excited to announce a free screening of the 1984 film Ghostbusters (PG) in Market Square! Start the night with dinner at 202 Social House. Then, enjoy free popcorn and snow cones while supplies last. Kids' activities will begin at 6pm, and the movie will start at dusk. This is a wonderful, family-friendly event suitable for all ages. We hope to see you there!

Dress up in your best Ghostbusters costume and bring your lawn chairs and blankets!

About the Movie:

After a team of scientists loses their cushy positions at a university in New York City, they decide to become "ghostbusters" to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from destruction.

Rated PG.

Market Street from Campbell Avenue to Kirk Avenue will be closed from 6pm-10pm.
Lawn chairs and blankets allowed
Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Please clean up after your pets!

Free Parking: After 5pm in Elmwood Lot and Elmwood Garage (approximately 4 blocks away)
$3 flat rate: After 4pm in Tower Garage and Market Lot (2 blocks away)
$1 per half hour with a daily max of $8: Center in the Square Garage and Market Garage
Handicapped Parking:
There are handicapped spaces in every PARK Roanoke garage. There are also many on-street handicapped spaces. If your vehicle has a disabled parking license plate or a properly displayed disabled parking placard, you may park in a timed space (2-hour, 1-hour, etc.) for up to ten (10) hours.
