Insider's Guide - Restaurant Week 2024

Category:  What’s New

Get ready for Roanoke's tastiest week! In this Insider's Guide, we're going to cover what you can expect at Downtown Roanoke Restaurant Week. From top tips to participating locations, we've got all the details you want to know.

Event Information

What: After the holiday season, business usually slows down a bit. Restaurant Week attempts to boost business by bringing people downtown to eat, explore restaurants, and hopefully stay a while. With 30 participating locations, you're sure to find a new spot to grab a bite!

When: Friday, January 19th - Sunday, January 28th

Where: Various locations downtown (more on this later)

Price Points

Experience Downtown’s extensive mix of lunch and dinner options. Try out many different restaurants that fit your budget. This year, we have 3 set price points. The $15 lunch includes an entrée, side, drink and/or dessert. All dinners include three courses. Set dinners are $30 and $45. Plus, some restaurants have opted to set their own pricing with 'Restaurant Choice' lunch and dinner options.

Top Tips to Maximize Restaurant Week

Plan Your Parking Before You Arrive

Planning before you go will save you time and a headache. You can avoid circling the block 20 times and get to the restaurant early.

Luckily, there’s plenty of parking downtown. If you plan to eat at a business near Market Square, consider Center in the Square Garage or Market Lot at 120 Church Avenue. View the Market area parking options. If you don't mind a little walk, you could park near Elmwood Park. For those headed to West Station (near Tuco's Taqueria Garaje and Beamer's 25), the Campbell Garage is probably the best option.

If you want to park somewhere else, we recommend PARK Roanoke lots and garages because they usually have lower rates than privately owned parking. Some even offer FREE parking on nights and weekends. Privately owned lots and garages offer convenience but you'll pay a premium. Click here to view all of the available parking downtown.

Make Reservations

Restaurants are packed during Restaurant Week. Avoid the wait and guarantee you'll be seated by making reservations at businesses that accept them. We recommend checking online or giving the place you want to visit a quick call. It can't hurt, right?

Check the Hours

There's nothing worse than arriving at your destination only to find that the business is closed. Before you head out the door, remember to look up the days and hours of operations for the restaurant. A lot of our downtown businesses are closed on Sundays and Mondays. We also recommend checking to see when the Restaurant Week specials are available (just during lunch or dinner hours or all day).

Enter Our Giveaways

We’re giving away $1,000 worth of Downtown Roanoke Gift Cards, which can be used at various businesses downtown (not just restaurants)! Leading up to Restaurant Week, we will be giving away 4 gift cards for $100 each on social media. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram the week of 1/15/24 for your chance to enter. Follow the instructions as they become available on social media.

During Restaurant Week, 6 lucky winners will receive a $100 Downtown Roanoke Gift Card. To enter, individuals need to post their Restaurant Week food photos with #RoanokeRestaurantWeek on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. The winners will be randomly drawn on 1/29/24 and each will receive a $100 Downtown Roanoke Gift Card. Remember to make your posts with #RoanokeRestaurantWeek public so that we can see them!

Review the Participating Locations & Menus

Look at the participating locations and the price points being offered. Each restaurant has a unique tile with the prices and whether they are offering Restaurant Week meals to-go. When you click on a tile, the restaurant's menu with Restaurant Week specials appears.
